chugga, chugga, choo, choo...

reese was able to experience his first field trip this week. and i was so lucky to be able to join him. i have tried to go on at least one each year with maddie and now it is his turn to start. we are also fortunate enough to be in a district that wants to take 4-year-olds on a bus from orange county to LA to enhance their knowledge of transportation (wow! what a feat!). so the travel town museum was the perfect spot. the teacher had a train conductor's cap & bandana ready for each student. as we started to get on the bus, lil' man became extremely nervous, almost in tears, due to his fear of new situations. but we got on and after about 15 minutes he calmed down and enjoyed the hour & half ride to LA. 

not sure he really got the gist of the information about trains, but he had a good time running around inside and outside of them. and the train ride around the park was cute as well.

and the sweetest moment of all was seeing every kid fall asleep on their parents' laps on the ride home.
