we visited a local pumpkin patch. have to be honest, not one of our better trips. soccer game in the morning, soccer pictures in the afternoon, and dad having to get to work on time made for a very rushed visit. we had been planning to attend this particular patch after seeing it in our town for the last 5 years. however, it is only held one afternoon, the hottest saturday in october. the kids were not feeling it, nor were the adults.
and this year with dad having to work most of halloween week, more homework, and a crazy 4-year-old, maddie and i decided to paint the pumpkins over the weekend instead of carving them the night before halloween. i was also pinterest-obsessed with all of the painted pumpkins and dying to try something different. the kids had a great time and they turned out pretty cute.

Love the house. Chalk board is perfection. Love that the boys wore same shirt. Painted pumpkins are brilliant!

I'm so glad you shared your craziness! I've been feeling the same way. Life is so busy, but you want to feel like you made it a great Halloween for the kids. Your kids are lucky...they have you two:)
