to me anniversaries are so much more fun than birthdays {mine, that is} because i loathe getting older. but with anniversaries it is more of an accomplishment and an i-can't-believe-we've-been-together-this-long-and-i-still-want-more feeling. this year was a quiet one due to my work schedule. our actual date fell on my first day of school. so we celebrated the weekend before at the beach house restaurant in laguna beach. great food; fun company{cuz he still makes me laugh every single day}; a mojito; and nobody saying "i don't like that, no i don't want to eat that", no tears, no cutting up food, or cleaning up messes, and that alone is a heavenly night for me.
{lobster dinner is my tradition}
so on the big day i greeted 24 new kindergartners and their parents with my awesome job share partner.
and then came home to my sweet, creative daughter's surprise gifts for us that she had been working on for days.
{what i love} my beautiful daughter and handsome son, sipping martinis, my family & friends, original photography, learning about interior design, cupcakes, wearing new clothes, hanging with my hubby on the beach
