at the end of march maddie's school held their annual open house. she was thrilled to show us all of her first grade success and we were able to take her out for a "restaurant" dinner, which is something she loves to do but can't very often due to our active little 2-year-old. we got a sitter for him and made it her special night. i am so proud of all of her achievements. she is reading books and writing paragraphs, and she shows a real strength in math.
that same week she finally lost her 3rd tooth and the following week her 4th tooth. she has been anxiously waiting for more teeth to fall out since last june. and still no top teeth have come out.
and lastly, about a week ago maddie performed in her first grade play all about the weather "the quest for the ancient barometer". she had been singing all of the songs around the house for weeks and was so happy when both dad & i could be there to watch her. lots of 6-year-old milestones!
