easter was too much fun this year. maddie probably had more easter parties to attend than at christmas time. we really got into the spirit. on friday she had an egg hunt and party at her preschool. unfortunately, i missed the hunt; but i finally got to be a parent volunteer at my daughter's school, instead of the teacher at my students' parties. as you can see she had a great time wearing her self-made bunny ears.
the following day we were off to our friend's first annual egg decorating party. maddie had such a great time dying eggs that she was disappointed when there were no more to decorate. she also got to hunt for eggs for a 2nd time. she is becoming very good at snatching eggs away from other kids.
easter morning! she followed the easter bunny's trail of jelly beans to her basket of treats. she was so eggcited to follow the trail, that that is all she talked about when she woke us up..."mom, mom look at the trail, look at the trail!" the easter bunny got her some fun items she enjoys, and one that mom & dad wanted her to have. it is an egg coin bank with the quote, "whether my dreams be grand or small, "MY LITTLE NEST EGG" will help save for them all."
finally, easter sunday! we went to "grandma schel's" house for another hunt and time with family. dad and uncle adam hid the eggs so well that we couldn't find a few of them. can't you just feel the wind blow by as she runs for that egg. she really was having a great time hunting for eggs. she kept asking why there were no more eggs. this year i tried something new. we had so much candy that i decided to fill these eggs with coins to go inside her new coin bank.
