cabo

j & i decided to take a mini vacation and visit cabo san lucas for a relaxing weekend. we went with another couple, our good friend's dave & jennie. it was really nice to have some adult time and not have to worry about answering "how come" and "why" questions for a few days. however, i missed her more than i ever have before. the whole time we were there i was wishing she was with us. she would have enjoyed all of our fun activities, minus the adult beverages of course. so here are some of those fun activities:

that first pic was one of the adult beverages to be had by the pool, but the favorite for the weekend was called a "miami vice".

this is the view from the one of the pools. it was so nice to be lounging by a pool and watching the beautiful, clear, blue ocean below.

maddie would LOOOVE this slide. our hotel had really fun pools, with neat activties for kids, like a paper airplane flying contest.

we took dave & jennie to our favorite restaurant in cabo, mi casa. we love the atmosphere because it is fun, loud, and entertaining. this particular night there was a bird who would randomly pick out your fortune (look closely at the yellow finch picking out a piece of paper from the box), and down below is a picture of the mariachis, who would sing any song you requested.
