dad and dance are both well-loved in our house. and both were celebrated on father's day weekend this year. maddie's end of-the-year dance rectital consisted of 2 ballet dances and 1 lyrical number. i love to watch her dance and i'm still in awe that she gets up on stage in front of a crowd, which i don't think i could ever do. when she was younger i don't think she paid the audience any attention. this year was different. as she was about to go on stage for her first number, she turns to me and says, "i think i'm going to pee my pants!" with a beaming smile. as she ran off stage she said, "that felt great!" i love her passion for this sport. and then as i was helping her change for her second show of the day, again putting on the same costumes and doing the same 3 dances she gives off a big sigh of not wanting to do it again. i said, "isn't wearing these beautiful costumes the best part of the recital?" she looks at me with attitude and says, "no, mom, the dancing is the best part." well then she has found her niche.

sunday was such a relaxing father's day spent poolside. we just enjoyed playing around with the kiddos. my lil' man is turning into such a ham, loves doing what big sis does, loves teasing us, and loves to crack us up with his poses and dance moves.

Such great shots of the kids. Love the one with Maddie and the other girls in front of the mirror. So heartwarming to see Reese really enjoying himself!
