it's all good...

my baby turned 4 on march 11.  we hosted a small party that weekend with a "pete the cat" theme. if you haven't read "pete the cat" books, you are missing out. the theme of the book is all about choosing your attitude. if things go wrong, don't cry, it's all good. pete has white shoes, but steps in strawberries and they turn red, then blueberries turn the shoes blue, mud, brown...

reese came home from preschool singing the song from the book. i bought said book for him and he has not stopped reading it since. so naturally, we had to have a party surrounding his favorite things. everyone asked me what he was into as far as gifts...books! he loves to read, look at, imitate, and read them again. it was the first party we have had for him since his 1st. jumping in the bounce house, playing with kids, reading favorite books, opening presents, eating multiple cupcakes, who wouldn't have fun?  and i had so much fun planning it...
{each child received the book tied with a shoelace to the invitation.}
{we each wore one of the colors of shoes.}

{i used nutella for the "mud".}

{i bought gummi shoes for the favors.}
{used reese's outgrown shoes as balloon weights.}

{it's my party and i'll cry if i want too.}

{"i'm 4!"}
{his sissy loves helping him.}
{this is the 1st year he understood about blowing out his candle.}
{1st cupcake: red}

{2nd cupcake: brown}
{cupcake #3:  white}
{finally: blue.
don't worry he only tasted the frosting, did not eat 4 cupcakes.}
i will leave you with reesie showing off his preschool crown.  i love preschool and all the fun they have with the kids.

Such a fun party, and I just love Pete the Cat. He reads it to me all the time. I like the picture where he's showing that he's 4 with 4 fingers.
