christmas, christmas, christmas...

  nooch continued to surprise us...

we had fun at our neighborhood christmas cookie decorating party...

we played with our reindeer antlers, compliments of preschool...

we enjoyed our final christmas movie night with themed treat, which was spoiled by daughter's classroom watching the movie before we could.
maddie: "mom, i don't want to watch the polar express."
heather: "why?"
m: because we already watched it in school and i will be so bored.
h: ok, that's fine, but i don't have another movie & treat theme.
m: (almost crying) but i waaaannnnt a treat that goes with the movie.  i tried not to watch it in school, but it was so hard.
h: it is ok to watch it with your class.
m: but i wanted to watch it with youuuuu.
h: we will do something...
so we had hot cocoa and watched olive, the other reindeer.  (forgot how cute that movie is.)

we took a trip on the christmas express.  got this idea from pinterest.  as kids got ready for bed, i put tickets on their pillows.  when they found them, i explained that we would be going to look at christmas lights in our pj's.  i made hot cocoa & milk chocolate for the lil' man.  i stood outside the car saying "tickets please" and hole punched them for effect.  they were laughing.  we had a great family night...

then nooch arrived for the last time on christmas eve, and left them a letter explaining that he will be back next year and will miss the kids...

round 1:  the garcia family gathered together at our house that night...

{cookie monster with a mustache!}

{it's not christmas until someone cries.}

{garcia boys, minus reese who needed to go to sleep after the pic from above.}

{and girls including newest member cianna & even lola got in the pic this year.}
ready for round 2: a visit from santa and christmas morning...
{tried something new this year, every person gets a different color wrapping paper so no tags are needed.}

{so heavy they fall off the mantel.}

{left cookies for our elf this year as well.}

{yay for matching pj's!!!}

{the best kind of mess.}
round 3:  my mom's house...
{how many people does it take to get an american girl doll bed out of the box?}

{"uncle adam, open the puzzle."}

{had to put on mom's new boots.}

Such a wonderful, fun filled Christmas. You did it all with those kiddies. Such a good Mom (and Dad).
