we began our easter festivities the weekend before easter tie-dyeing t-shirts so all the kids would match for our annual neighborhood egg hunt. {to be fair, i am not a fan of tie dye so i didn't have the best attitude going into this. but i do have to say the kids all looked cute together.}
{can you spot my very upset subject who did not want to take a pic?}
this was the year for reese! he finally got it! he enjoyed looking for eggs and putting them in the basket, but wanted nothing to do with actually holding the basket. the older kids collected the eggs in 2 minutes flat and really enjoyed checking out and trading their loot.
after the hunt maddie & i decorated some eggs...
easter sunday is traditionally held at grandma's house. and our family hunt ensues...
new day, new attitude. reese wanted to hold his basket and didn't want the hunt to end. "more eggs". "i want more eggs."
{he loved his elmo eggs.}
{my mom's beautiful flowers provide the best egg hunting scenery.}
one of the best tips i found on pinterest this year was putting puzzle pieces inside the eggs. it worked like a charm and kept the kids busy for a long while.
and who doesn't love a few bubbles with grandpa.
