{yum!}
{she is growing up so fast.}
{her little brother did make an appearance.}
monday was maddie's actual birthday. and she requested cookies and capri suns as treats for her class. she loved being able to celebrate her birthday again with her friends from school.
on wednesday madeline lost her first tooth!!! she has had 2 loose teeth for over a month, and was anxiously awaiting the tooth fairy. we were in a long line at target waiting to pay with lil' bro' crying, when she says "mom, what is this?" holding her tooth, blood all over her mouth. it couldn't have been a worse time, but we laughed later and she was like a kid on christmas eve. soooooo excited to for her special visit.
friday my six-year-old received her first official school award. she received the "good manners" award for her entire class. {wow! does that mean we have been doing something right as parents?hehe} we were so proud! we took her out to a special lunch all by herself to celebrate. she loved it!
saturday was her dance recital. she has been practicing since october to perfect her tap and ballet dances. she has overcome so much shyness, and i really believe being in dance and getting up on stage has helped her self-confidence and will in the future help her self-esteem. she just beamed on stage. she knew her routines so well. i had tears in my eyes watching her and she was so proud of herself afterwards.
{soooo stinkin' cute!}
as if that were not enough, just tonite maddie was playing around with her other loose tooth and it began bleeding. daddy tried pulling it out first, and then she finally pulled it out all by herself. i couldn't look, blood was everywhere, and after she got it she said it didn't even hurt. {ewwww!} so tonite is her second visit from the tooth fairy.
