trick or treat

halloween night started off a little rocky. we arrived home to find that daddy had a 100.8 degree fever, vomiting, and more. needless to say he could not make it out of bed, much less out in the neighborhood. but maddie and i were not alone, my good friends michelle, dan, and their "almost" 2 year old daughter, lilly, joined us. true to her personality maddie began the night being too shy to say "trick or treat" and not even wanting to walk up to the door without me holding her hand. but as she watched the other kids, she started to relax and by the end of the night she was literally running to the next house and telling me to wait while she went up to the door. lilly on the other hand, has no shyness problem what-so-ever. after she got the hang of it, she was pounding on the doors, yelling "trick or treat", and trying to open the doors herself. she is amazing!
