to pick our pumpkins this year we decided to head to irvine regional park. it is a huge park filled with many activites -- a small lake with paddle boats, a train ride with a history lesson about the park, a local zoo, many acres of trees, and more. but for halloween they create a pumpkin patch complete with a hay maze, haunted house, hay ride behind a tractor, and loads of pumpkins. it was a cute, kid-friendly place. we had good times {picking pumpkins, snacking on cotton candy, running in the hay maze} and bad {a melt down going into the bounce house, another looking at baby pumpkins}. you just never know how your day will wind up with a 4 year old!
