halloween

We had so much fun this year with Maddie. She really enjoyed all of the different activities Halloween has to offer. We made our own crafts with pumpkins-mummies and spiders. We visited a great pumpkin patch called Tanaka Farms that allows you to pick your own pumpkins, along with other activities such as, tractor rides, a petting zoo, and a corn maze. Although the day we went was when the Santa Ana winds were just beginning. Dirt was flying everywhere, our hair was in our faces most of the day (except for J, of course), and the terrible fires were just getting started. Needless to say we did not stay long, which was unfortunate, because it was a great place to take kids. Our next adventure was carving the pumpkin. She really enjoyed it this year, and even stuck her hand in the goo - something she was scared of doing the last 2 years. And of course, the big day...she is our little princess - SNOW WHITE. We thought, since she looks just like her it would be a perfect match. Her comment that night was, "Mom, don't I look so pretty." We have to agree.
